Formula Macro
LFO() is a formula shortcut expanded before compilation. It creates a positive sine LFO running from 0 to amnt.
amnt: modulation amount, normally 0.0 to 1.0.fq: normalized frequency, 0.0 to 1.0. Internally this maps to 0 to 20 Hz.phase: phase offset.LFO(amnt, fq, phase)
is compiled as:
(amnt*0.5*(sin(2*pi()*20*fq*pos()/44100+phase)+1))
moog(saw(X), 0.04+0.45*LFO(param(2), param(3), 0), 0.25)
The macro uses pos(), so its motion follows the current note position in the 44.1 kHz reference timing domain. That means the LFO keeps the same audible speed even when the host or audio device is running at another sample rate. You can use several LFO() macros in one formula; Syntropy expands each one before compilation.
