Description

Diode-ladder style low-pass filter. Compared with a smoother low-pass, it tends to feel more assertive and rubbery, which makes it useful for acid, mono leads, and animated bass sounds.

Arguments

• input: audio/control signal to process
• cutoff: normalized cutoff control
• resonance: resonance/Q amount

Typical Values

Cutoff often works well around 0.02 to 0.25. Resonance can stay musical from about 0.10 to 0.80 depending on the source.

Notes

Try modulating cutoff with envelopes, velocity, or MPE timbre/pressure for liquid, modern monosynth behavior.
