envosc_file()

Oscillator / external envelope wavetable

Description

Plays an external .env file from the Envelopes folder as an oscillator waveform. It is the file-linked version of envosc(). When saving a preset, Syntropy can offer to keep the file link or embed the envelope into the preset and rewrite the formula to envosc().

Arguments

• index: oscillator phase; use X for played pitch
• file.env: quoted envelope filename in the Envelopes folder

Example

0.7*attack(200)*release(12000)*envosc_file(X, "osc12.env")

Notes

Use envosc_file() while designing with shared oscillator envelopes. Use embedded envosc() for portable presets that should not depend on external .env files.
