exposc()

exposc(x, k)

Category

Oscillator

Description

Creates a one-period exponential falling oscillator curve. The first argument is interpreted as oscillator phase, so use X for normal playable pitch.

The normalized phase is shaped as:

(exp(-phase*k)-exp(-k))/(1-exp(-k))

Arguments

Example

0.24*exposc(X, 5.0)

Notes

When k is very close to zero, Syntropy safely uses the mathematical limit 1.0-phase to avoid division by zero.
