inputL()

inputL()

Category

Audio Input

Description

inputL() returns the current left audio input sample supplied by the host to the VST3 or CLAP plug-in. It allows Syntropy formulas to process external audio through formula filters, waveshapers, envelopes, and FX.

Arguments

No arguments.

Example

0.7*drive(inputL(),0.35+0.45*param(0))
[Drive: 0.35;]

Notes

Available since Syntropy version 2.2.

If the host does not provide an audio input, inputL() returns 0. The standalone synth build normally has no external audio input, so this function is mainly for VST3 and CLAP host use.
