Math
Returns the constant pi. Use it when writing formulas that need exact phase or frequency conversion constants, especially for custom oscillator increments and fixed reference tones.
A common reference increment is 2*pi()*440/44100. In Syntropy's 44.1 kHz reference domain this means 440 Hz exactly, and the engine rescales internally so it stays 440 Hz at other host sample rates.
saw(x*2*pi()*440/44100)
For normal playable synth tones, prefer X because it already contains MIDI note pitch. Use explicit 2*pi()*freq/44100 style expressions when you intentionally want a fixed reference frequency or a custom accumulator step.
