Description

Creates a rectangular pulse inside one waveform period. The output is 1.0 between start and end, and 0.0 outside that region.

Arguments

• x: oscillator phase; use X for played MIDI pitch
• start: pulse start position in the waveform period, 0.0 to 1.0
• end: pulse end position in the waveform period, 0.0 to 1.0 and greater than start

Example

0.3*pulse(X, 0.15, 0.55)

Notes

If end is not greater than start, or any position is outside 0.0 to 1.0, the function returns silence. Use oversampling for bright or narrow pulses.
