pulsewidth(x, start, width)

Description

Creates a rectangular pulse from a start position and a width. It is a convenient form of pulse(x,start,start+width).

Arguments

x: oscillator phase; use X for played MIDI pitch
start: pulse start position in the waveform period, 0.0 to 1.0
width: pulse length inside the period; start+width must stay below 1.0

Example

0.3*pulsewidth(X, 0.10, 0.32)

Notes

Modulating width gives a PWM-style tone, while modulating start shifts the pulse region through the cycle.
