Oscillator / vocal synthesis macro
Creates a pitched synthetic singing voice from quoted syllable text. Syllables are separated with a hyphen, for example robovox(X, "la-la-la", 0.35, 1.0). The first argument is the oscillator phase/index, so MIDI notes transpose the singing voice in the same way as sin(X), saw(X), or envosc(X,0). Internally Syntropy prepares the text before compilation and renders a deterministic source-filter voice using vowel formants, glottal excitation, breath noise, smooth syllable transitions, and separate consonant articulation for plosives, fricatives, nasals, liquids, and breath sounds.
X for normal pitch tracking, or scale it for octave/detune effects.- to separate syllables.Use timbre values between 0.15 and 0.85. Use speed values from 0.5 to 3.0 for musical phrases.
0.8*param(3)*attack(200)*release(16000)*robovox(X, "la-li-lo-la", param(0), 0.5+2.5*param(1)) [Timbre: 0.35; Speed: 0.45; Tone: 0.50; Gain: 0.75;]
Only one robovox(index, "text", timbre, speed) or robovoxloop(index, "text", timbre, speed) macro is allowed in one preset formula in this version. robovox() stops after the text is finished; robovoxloop() loops the syllable text. The text is fixed at compile/load time, while index, timbre, and speed can be controlled by param(), automation, or other realtime formula expressions.
