Math / Oscillator
Sine function. In Syntropy it can be used both as a standard mathematical sine and as a clean oscillator when the input is the note phase X.
Example: sin(x*2*pi()*440/44100)
Use sin(X) for a pure sine at the played note, sin(2*X) for one octave higher, and slow values such as sin(pos()/7000) for LFO-style modulation.
sin(X)
For pitched oscillator functions, X already contains the current MIDI note pitch and transpose information. Prefer saw(X), sin(X), or pwm(X, 0.4) unless you intentionally want an octave or ratio shift such as 0.5*X or 2*X.
