Envelope / Control
Returns MIDI note velocity, normally scaled to 0.0 to 1.0. Use it to make a preset respond to playing strength.
velo() itself is usually in the 0.0 to 1.0 range. Factory presets often multiply it directly with the full output level, or use it to open a filter, brighten a transient, or increase FM or noise amount.
sin(X)*(0.3+0.7*velo())
Velocity response in Syntropy is opt-in. If a preset does not use velo() or velolog(), note velocity will not change its loudness or timbre. Use velolog() when you want a more natural loudness curve.
