Description

Processes a formula source through the prepared vocal text/formant engine used by robovox(). This lets you filter Syntropy sources such as saw(X), pdsin(X,...), fm(), or envosc() into a singing-vocal result while adding syllable timing, vowel resonances, consonants, frication, aspiration, nasals, and liquids.

Arguments

• source: voiced carrier signal, usually pitched with X.
• text: quoted syllable text. Use - to separate syllables.
• timbre: 0.0 for a smaller/female vocal tract, 1.0 for a larger/male vocal tract.
• speed: syllable speed. 1.0 corresponds to 120 BPM.

Notes

vox() is classified as a filter/processor because its first argument is an existing source signal. Use robovox(X,...) for the self-generating built-in glottal singer.
