Oscillator / Vocal Resynthesis
lpc() is a compact LPC/formant-frame vocal oscillator. It uses quoted syllable text to select and morph embedded vocal tract frames, then drives an all-pole resonator cascade with a glottal excitation. The function is intended for musical vocal colors, choir-like tones, talking leads, and synthetic voice textures. The phrase plays once and then becomes silent; use lpcloop() for looping phrases.
The first argument is oscillator phase. Use X for normal playable pitch, including keyboard tracking, pitch-wheel movement, and MPE-style pitch expression.
X for played note pitch"pa-pa-ma-ma"0 to 11 is the normal musical phrase speed.0.7*attack(500)*release(18000)*lpc(X, "pa-pa-ma-ma", param(0), param(1)) 0.45*attack(800)*release(36000)* lpc(X+0.018*sin(pos()/9000), "ra-sa-li-ko", param(0), param(1))
lpc() is a musical vocal-frame resynthesis function, not neural speech synthesis. robovox(), vox(), and lpc() have separate prepared text slots, so one formula may use one macro from each vocal family.
